SBC V8 PDS Seals

I'm in the process rebuilding my flywheel housing. I have the pds shaft and bearings out of the housing.
As for grease, I have Marine wheel bearing NLGI 2 grease. Is this what people use? No info in the service manual, they just state grease..

SBC V8 PDS Seals

I'm reassembling My flywheel housing on my aq231a. Its the 2 bearing setup. I ordered the 2 sealing rings as per the VP parts schematic and the fwd and aft are the same part number. Now looking at it the u joint spline is smaller then the flywheel spline. The fwd seal is 35x62x7 mm but the other one is too big. Does anyone have the correct part # or dimensions of the aft seal? I already threw out the old seals to compare :facepalm: Or does the female end of the u-joint yoke seal using the larger seal i got??
