When a scientist was interviewed, she stated " they look and act exactly like Dire Wolves".... How would anyone know, last one was 13000 years ago, so who was there to know that ?
Here it is in its natural habitat. The chair is covered in Wooly Mammoth hide.

They basically pieced together a cloned the animal.
If they are genetically identical, they will exhibit the exact same identical traits.

If you made a part from a 100 year old blue print, would you expect your part would match up with a 100 year old part unseen?

I don’t believe for one minute that these things won’t “ accidentally “ end up out in the wild. Time will tell.
There are guys in Michigan upper peninsula that post on archery boards a ton of wolf videos. Some guys have all but given up hunting whitetail due to low numbers. The states estimated 400-600 wolves is way under what’s really there according to some.

I saw a report yesterday by a guy who's in that biz and he said that it really wasn't a full on Dire wolf. They just used a gray wolf and modified a tiny bit and basically ended up with a white, gray wolf. :sneaky:

First the deer and other animals.
Then babies left in a carriage or playpen. Then stranded people in the wild.
Oh well.

400-600 wolves in Michigan ..........bollocks to that. Maybe thats how many you could see if you did a 360⁰ spin on any given spot.
I think we need bears and wolves here .... Sure would spice up hunting. We got nothing here that bites back .🙂

Same where I am now. The only thing you really have to worried about is getting sprayed by a skunk or running over a deer.
Now where I grew up in Fl was a different story.
There were so many diamondbacks rattle snakes that the cops carried 38 snake shot. I guess that kinda ages me a bit.😂 not sure when cops stopped using a 38 but it’s been a minute I’m sure. Anyway I had snake skins all over my house. Cops would drop them off to me so I could skin em dry em.

Beside some copperheads and an occasional rattler, the biggest issue in the woods in my area are TICKS!! They are bad news! Hate those things.

Ah yes tics. They are bad here as well. I know a few people that have gotten alpha-gal in the past couple years and can’t eat red meat anymore. 2 of them can do dairy either. I hope this never happens to me.

Not sure why the good lord put them here. I spend a lot of time in the woods. I use a product on my clothes I wear when out in the woods named “Sawyers”. It is a permethrin spray that works very well.

There are NO NO animals in the woods in my farmland area. In my county. Just a few scrawny deer browsing in the lawn.
Real clue to the death of all else ? No buzzards or birds of prey. All gone. Same with small birds and animals. Had no winter migration of any birds. All the flocks of geese are gone.
Only ammunition needed ? Extra long range blanks.
Delaware River and feeder creeks are sterile. Day or night.
Not joking

Wow...where do you live?
On a fenced, EPA Super Fund Site?

We live on 28 acres within 30 minutes of downtown Baltimore.
All the animals noted below are common visitors to the property.

Listened to two turkeys going back and forth this morning while drinking my coffee on the back porch

Turkey
Coyotes
Fox
Ground Hogs
Grey and Turkey Vultures
Bald Eagle
Red tail Hawk
Grey heron
Green heron
Geese
Ducks
Owls
Skunk
Opossum
Black Bear
Snapping Turtles
Misc. Snakes

You’re kidding right? The Delaware River is loaded with fish of all kinds. Right now the shad run is on as well as the stripers. River is absolutely loaded with smallmouth.

I have not fished the Delaware the last 20 years. Back then there was only crushed red shale pebbles. No weeds back then. Will give it another try in the good old places.
Thank you FLATHEAD.

And several of the tributaries are loaded with trout and considered some of the top trout fishing in PA ...

I am in Frenchtown, N J right on the river. Adults and kids would fish daytime then eat them for dinner and then go home. Different lifestyle back then. The Channel Cats got good sized. I caught about a36" Striped Bass one evening on 4 # test line. Took way too long to release.
