Scott-Attwater year

Can anybody tell me the year of a 5hp Scott-Attwater 3775-5237 and know what spark plug it would take? Thanks.

Hi OBJ Your Scott Atwater is a 1957 model. The original plug was the Champion H10J this plug has been discontinued. The Champion CJ8 replaces it. Plug gap .035 point gap is .020.

CJ8....OK alcan, appreciate the info. Some relictives gave me the engine and I want to see if she still got the stuff. Compression is good and the engine overall is in really good condition. Even has the original suction strainer for the bail pump. <br /><br />Thanks again.....Jim
