Can anyone please help our local Scout group?

We want to teach our pack some basic water safety skills. I have donated my 13' aluminium Trim Craft, but we urgently need a decent, reliable and inexpensive motor.

I am looking for something in the range 9.9HP to 25HP, to give the kids some real boating experience. We will be using my 3.3 Johnson as an emergency backup (together with the oars for the kids to row).

If you can help, please email me at dgolding@gtlaw.com.au

I am located in Sydney, Australia.

Thanks for your help,

David

You might contact some local repair shops or dealers. They may have and older motor to let you use or have. These local business owners are often very civic minded and willing to help out a scout group.

And what better way to cultivate a new crop of future boat buyers?

Thanks Roscoe for your reply. As we do not live near the water, local boat shops are few and far between. I did try an ad in our local paper but no luck.

However I won't give up as we have told the kids our plans.

Cheers,

Dave
