My aluminum window frames will be back from powder coat in the next week or two. They were originally assembled with stainless steel screws. Has anyone used aluminum screws to avoid any corrosion issues? There didn't appear to be any corrosion problems with the original stainless screws from 1976... I removed the canvas snaps from a couple of the windows so should I put aluminum snaps with aluminum rivets back in their place or stainless snaps with stainless rivets?

If the original stainless lasted 44 years without corrosion, there is no reason to change. I don't see an issue going with either one. Although someone with more experience using aluminum hardware may have a reason to use or not use aluminum.

Anybody ever use the Sailrite Pop Rivet Tool with the SnapRite Surface Mount Stud Die??? It looks pretty handy but like anything else, the video can look good but the actual use might be something different... I already have a really nice pop rivet tool with a swivel head on it but not sure if their die will fit my tool...
