Screw Holes

What's the best way to fill screw holes in the transon, below the floor level? Stuff it full of 5200? I was wondering if they make "fiberglass sticks" that you could drill the hole to size and tap the "stick" in, kinda like dowel rods. It would keep water from getting to the wood, but 5200 would do that also. Previous owner had all kinds of screws in the lower transom, and I'm going to mount the SX Smart Tabs on Thursday when they come from iboats! Heck of a Labor Day sale they have going on!!!!

i boats is one of the best places to deal with on the net.......this is really a class set up.

5200 is the correct tool for the job.

your other alternative is to drill out the holes......fill with epoxy or a peanut butter type of poly resin mix.

5200 is the fastest and cheapest.

McMaster Carr sells fiberglass rods in 1/8" up thru 1-1/2" diameter.

5200 is a temp fix ..

I have never heard of " fiberglass sticks " .. but its still not permanant ..

Best way is to die grind and glass the holes over .. Best way.. but you asked first ..

Ayuh,... I'm with Oops,...
I pack 'em fulla peanut buttered resins...
Throw in some milled glass for bigger 1s...
