screw through floor

I pulled off my deck to redo and found a screw coming up from the hull.Looks like it was there from the factory outer skin is good maybe a small bump.Or was this some kind of repair.
Should I leave it along or cut it off on the top side and put some kind of sealer on it while im in there.Screw is small like a #8 drywall. thanks

impossible to say with out knowing the exact position of the screw

Can you see the screw head from the outside? then un-screw it and use marine tex.
If you can't see it, use a pair of bull dyke pliers to snip it inside, then use Oops favorite brand of cloth and epoxy.

No you can't see it from the outside.Going to cut and seal it's close to a stringer im replacing so ill cover it then.Sorry cant get pic to upload on here there to big.thanks for you help
