SEA 156 VHF Wiring

I have an older SEA 156 VHF that I bought used and non-functional. The radio powers up to channel 9, but they keypad does not respond and the microphone is disconnected. I think that they're related because I can recall that some radios don't respond to keyed commands when there is no microphone connected. In case you are not familiar with this radio, the mic doesn't simply plug in like most others. It is hard wired into a wiring harness that also has the power cords and antenna connection. The little diagram on the back isn't helping very much either. My choices are:

Mic +
Mic -
PTT (push to talk, I presume)
Mute
Mic Opt
Drain
NC

I just need to know which wires from the mic go where, since I'm not familiar with that kind of circuit. The mic key mechanism itself appears to be working properly.

This is a very nice radio and costs close to $500 new and if I can fix it, will make a nice little addition to the pilothouse. I bought it for $35.

It may be a long shot, but can any of you guys help me out here?

Thanks.

Re: SEA 156 VHF Wiring

woody, I think you are on the right track, I have no knowledge of this radio, and suggest that you post this question on one of the ametuer radio boards. Just in-case you are not a "ham" operator, I bet one of the guys on that board can help.
