Re: Sea-bee 12 HP year?

Wow, thanks for digging that up. My father got it from the local marina for free. They were throwing it out, and he thought it would look good as a decoration on his little aluminum boat that he made into a beached flower bed. It had a hole in the block from a thrown rod. He pulled off the lower unit so he wouldnt have to dig a deep hole in the ground, and he was going to toss it. I figured that someone may want it, so I saved it and I guess I can ebay it. I just wanted to be sure of the year.
The funny thing is that we sprayed some starting fluid in the carb, and it still started up and ran for a few seconds. Too bad the block was shot, or I would have considered keeping the whole thing. Its kinda neat seing something that old still run like it did.

Anyway, if you know anyone needing a good lower unit for one of these, I have one.
Thanks again for finding the info.

If you are just going to use it as a dummy you might consider parting it out on eBay.Just save the shell for decoration.Probably won't get rich but I have fun selling a few things there.
