i BOUGHT SOME SEAFOAM TODAY AND SAW ANOTHER PRODUCT RIGHT NEXT TO IT IN THE IDENTICAL METAL BOTTLE WITH THE SAME USAGES LISTED.LOOKS TO BE AN OBVIOUS COPYCAT.tHE MANU IS "BERRYMAN SINCE 1912" B-12 CHEMTOOL FUEL TREATMENT.iT CONTAINS TOLUENE,METHANOL,ACETONE,BUTOXYETHANOL,METHEL ETHEL KEYTONE,ISOPROPANOL.lOOKS AND SMELLS THE SAME WITH THE SAME TEXTURE.cOST IS ONLY $3.25 COMPARED TO $9 FOR SEAFOAM.SO I BOUGHT A BOTTLE OF THIS ALONG WITH THE SEAFOAM.ANYONE EVER TRY THIS STUFF??? I HAVE ALWAYS USED SEAFOAM WITH GREAT RESULTS.cHARLIE

Sounds basically like Seafoam to me (i.e. organic solvent). Great lesson in Organic chemistry 101 too. Lots of simple, interesting organic compounds. There are several Seafoam clones/competitors out there on the market such as Deep Creep, Mystery Oil and a few others, but they all do basically the same thing. Give it a try following the directions on the bottle and let us know how it works. Be prepared for LOTS of smoke.

Yep, the Berryman product is very similar, and has a good reputation. Wish I had such a juxtaposition on the shelf!

I use B-12 exclusivley. Good stuff. Good as an additive to keep things clean and good as a carb cleaner when pulling them apart. IU don't beleive them to be a copycat, but a product unto it own..

Doesn't look like Chemtool has anything to protect the inner workings of a 2 stroke. Looks rather harsh.

Seafoam is Iso, Naptha, and oil.

Deep Creep IS Seafoam, in an aerosol can.

PowerTune and RingFree (Mercury and Yamaha products) are very similar to Seafoam.
