sea kimg 15 hp

I have a 15 hp sea king that I got today and I can't get it to go in foward or reverse. when it idles I can get it to go to full throttle when I put it in between foward and nuteral, but when I put it in foward it either dies or will barely move foward. Please help I am new at this thank you.

There is a limiter that prevents full throttle in neutral and maybe reverse. If the throttle is too high, it won't allow you to shift. Check the sparkplugs to see if both cylinders are running. They should look about the same. Or you may have some carb touble. They were made by several companies, but a 15 sounds like a Force from the 80s and 90s. Or maybe a Gale from 1960-62.
