sea king 3.5hp, whats the oil mixture..

i have what apears to be a montgomery wards sea king, i was told its a 1960 model. its air cooled with water pumping for the exhaust only. cany anybody tell me what the propper oil/fuel mix is. i was told by som ethat it is 24:1.. is this true? any help or info would be appreciated. its made by clinton if that helps

It is 24:1. Some suggest running a little leaner, say 36:1, because of the better oil technology nowadays, but I'd stick with the 24:1 to be safe.

I have a Wards sea King 3.5 hp. It is white, egg shaped and the water pump is just a tube turned to point at the propeller. I am not sure of the year but it does have the factory sticker stating the fuel mixture. Says to mix half pint of SAE 30 weight oil to one gallon of gas. That figures out to a 16:1 ratio
