Hi all,
I'm newly registered on this forum, however I've searched it in the past and found a lot of useful info on it so when I bought this motor I knew I could get help here. I just bought a boat with an older Sea King 5hp outboard. I know nothing about the motor and the guy I bought it from didn't seem to know much about it either. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Year, who manufactured it, fuel:eek:il ratio, anything else I might want or need to know?

The Model number is GG18736B, and the serial is 16X825660.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Sea King 5hp outboard

Sure. It is a 1961, built by Gale Products Division of OMC. You may have heard of OMC - they made Johnson and Evinrude motors also. Many J/E parts are interchangeable with the Gale cousins, but not all.

Fuel mix is 24:1. Use TC-W3 certified oil.
