Hi, just bought a 1971, 7hp Sea king outboard, cleaned it up some but have some questions before I try to start it. Does anyone know what fuel mix, spark plug & gap, what sort of lubricant for the lower unit and if this is an air or water cooled motor? Also, the carburaetor doesn't have a cover over it though there are threaded holes on either side, but not much room for much of a cover or filter. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Fuel mix is 4ozs per gallon.32:1 use TCW3 rated oil.Champion CJ8 plug set at
.025.Regular outboard gear lube.Powerhead is air cooled with a water cooled exhaust leg there is an impeller in the leg above the antivent(cavitation) plate.
I don't think there is a carb cover. These motors have a poor reputation.try to get it going for as little as possible then decide if its worth more investment in time and money.
