Re: Sea King/Clinton K700 Repair

Do you need a service manual? I have one in PDF format if you would like a copy..

I would like a copy of that manual, and recommendations for parts. I need what I believe is the main needle coming up through the bottom of the bowl, and a pull rope assy. Better get a water pump too I guess.
Edit:

Hmm, my post from earlier disappeared. But that hole below the idle adjust needle is indeed open to atmosphere, And appears to be an overflow for the carb. I'd put my float spring on incorrectly and fuel came pouring out of there. I'll try and get some pictures up later.

Pics!

Carb off.

No rubber seat in the inlet.

Nor on the needle. Metal seat against a metal needle tip.

Here is the small hole below the low speed adjustment.

Here is the correct way for the float spring, I'd put mine in wrong and thus the gas coming out the hole. Luckily I'd had a picture from earlier to refer to.

I apologize for posting on an old thread; after trying multiple spring positions (including that one) to get my carb to quit spewing out the little hole I replaced it with a new one (new old stock). The spring position was different than that and works well. I will try to upload a pic or 2; right now it's saying that the files are too large to upload.
