I have (Ithink) '74 Clinton model #K7503107D Sereal #996393 Type # XTV52207. Am I right on maker and yr? Also what is fuel mixture, is it water cooled, and How do I check/change (if need to) the lower lube? I dont see a screw to check or fill it. I see one screw in the hole above prop in front and a nut/bolt on the back oppisite side (back). P.S. will this manuel work for this motor http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Eska...8716759QQptZBoatQ5fPartsQ5fAccessoriesQ5fGear

Re: Sea King help!!!

you do have a 1974 according to your numbers, i recommend 48-1 ratio for the fuel. this unit is water cooled so don't run it out of water unless you plan on replacing the impeller. changing the lower end fluid is easy, if your looking at the motor from the front you should have two screws on the right side of the gearcase "lower end", remove both screws, allow fluid to drain, and refill with 90w gearlube oil by installing a tube in the lower screw hole and fill until it comes out the top hole. they make kits that can be bought at gander mountain or cabelas, most local marinas or if your crafty you could improvise a simple setup. the holes should only be about six inches apart max and on the same side of the unit. good luck with your project and welcome to iboats
