Still looking for a carburetor and year i.d. for my old Sea King (Montgomery Wards) Twin Cylinder,3.5 h.p. Model 14EA-8823A Serial # 37801077. There is no doubt that the h.p.,model,and serial are correct, and it is definetly a 2 cylinder engine. The carb is missing from this engine, otherwise it looks fine. Could I adapt some other carb to this (like off a lawn mower)? to get it running or is there a "reed" built into it or some other reason it couldn't be done? Twin City Outboards got me nowhere for the part. Thanks

That sounds like it might be a Muncie Gear Works model number, though I can't seem to find that one. They did once produce a 3.5hp, 2 cylinder outboard in the fourties.
Montgomery Wards sold some of their engines under the 'Sea King' label. MGW's private label was 'Neptune'.
Try over at AOMCI. Good luck!
