Hey Ya'll.
I'm new to this site but love it here already.
I've recently re-started restoring an older boat I bought for a song.
The deck had some poor patches over rotten parts, the transom was rotten, so, I'm redoing almost the entire boat.
Keeping the old center console, but adding instruments, electronics and such.
Here's a few pics of the guted transom and a 3/4 of the deck removal.
I've already removed most of the foam.
If you look close, you'll see some cheap filler material used to save foam at the factory. It's the darker spots in the foam toward the bow. It's the hard green styrofoam used in fake flowers.
I just guted the transom and re-poured it. I'll post pics of that later.
Good luck and good fishing to all.

Re: Sea Scout restoreation

Will be interesting to watch the restore as it takes place.
I'm working on a center console project myself.
Got some pictures of the boat?

max!

Re: Sea Scout restoreation

Max, thanks. Yes I'll post those as soon as it quits raining. LOL
Thats whats holding up the show.
She's just a simple 17 ft center console. She'll be right when I finish tho.
(Sea scout is the older version of Sea pro.)
Real nice solid hull and stringers. Hull thickness is what stopped me from trashing it and buying a new one.
