Seachoice Underwater LEDs

Does anyone have any first-hand knowledge or experience w/ these Seachoice Underwater LEDs (http://www.amazon.com/Seachoice-03041-6-Inch-10-LED-Underwater/dp/B003L0C2U2).

Likewise, if anyone has experience w/ similar products, input would be appreciated

www.coastalnightlights.com. Not the most expensive and superb customer service if you have any problems.Depending on water clarity where you boat, blue might not be the best color.

No experience with that particular make. The design scares me a little, as it resembles fairly closely some that I had that eventually suffered from water intrusion. In underwater lighting, you often get what you pay for, to some extent. You don't need to buy the most expensive, but usually the least expensive are not worth putting holes in your transom for.

I have heard good things about the brand Thalasso mentions, and I personally recommend Lumitec's Seablaze line. I have a pair of Seablaze 3's on my boat, and I would buy them again tomorrow.

For 23 bucks how can you lose, we use the Atwoods at work(Bennington) and I have never heard of anyone having a problem but they are $140 instead of $23 and I really doubt they are much different.

I have had an led light in my livewell almost constantly submerged for several years now and it still works great, the ones you are looking at just don't have the fancy stainless cover.

I have 2 on my swim platform. Not very bright but they work ok. They have been on for 2 years now and still work. Mine aren't submerged all the time though. I have just the clear ones, they didn't have color when I bought mine and they were only about 3 inch not 6. I think if the water is clear then it should give you a decent effect but don't expect it to be a large area shooting out the back.
