Has anyone installed a SeaDek Swim Platform Pad on there Q5?
Or any Tahoe for that matter?

Cheers,

I don't have one on mine but also don't really feel it is needed. I do understand the padding aspect of it...but have not had any slipping on the platform as of yet.

I had a Monster Tower installed last year and found that my wakeboards are taking a beating on the bare platform.
The SeaDek would definately help in that sense.

MB.

If I remember right it was about $300. Pricey I thought but worth it. Go to their website and they have some good videos on making the template and installation. I'd do it again for sure.

Looks good. Did you use the template kit when ordering or was the pad available for your Q6?
I've got a Q5 so I need to order the template kit first.
I did order the template kit and highly recommend it so that you can get it cut exactly how you want it.

Re: SeaDek Swim Platform Pad

I have ordered the template kit as well for my '11 Q7i. There is a template on Sea-Dek's website for a Q7i already, but it's an older model and significantly different from what I have. I have talked to the folks there, they are helpful and nice. I'm going a bit different on mine, more of a classic look. I am going to have a custom pad made out of the teak (teak over brown color). I am going to have them route the lines for the "boards", and then route the same "T" Tahoe logo in the middle. Or maybe no logo, still deciding on that. I have a Dark Cherry boat, and although it may sound a bit strange, I think that it will look great, very classic, even on a modern bowrider. This is a pic that I found on the internet that kid of gives an idea of how it would look on amodern boat, although a different boat and color, but you get the idea.

Well that makes sense...I know it would also feel softer to walk on...I might look into one later down the road. I need the smart tabs first and a bimini!

Hey, i installed the seadek on my 2008 Tahoe Q6, as well as the smart tabs. I used to fall of the back of the boat at least twice a year, and the seadek looks great, and feels even better.
