seafoam all the time?

i have a new boat with a 4 stroke 115 merc...well its a 05 leftover..any way there are about 10 hrs on the motor at this point...i was at the auto parts store today roaming the aisles and came across seafoam..i read the can and wow this is like a magical liquid in a can!!..is it all true..will this act as a stabalizer..ie winter storage..should i use it all the time..it says 1oz per gallon..i have a 52gal tank..or just every so often..has any one used this in a engine since it was new..can i harm any thing

I do use it as a stabilizer year-round. If the boat is going to sit for any period of time, I make sure I have some in the tank. Certainly seems to work very well for two-stroke engines. Haven't had any fuel gunk problems since I started using it a couple of years ago. I haven't owned a 4-stroke and can't comment on that.

I use it all the time in vehicles and outboard engines. Good stuff in my opinion.
The price has increased quite a bit since it has become so popular w/2 stroke engine and decarbing.

If you use ethanol blended fuel there is no need to use SeaFoam in every tank. Ethanol itself is an excellent fuel system cleaner. Continued use of SeaFoam will not harm anythng but is a waste of money in my view if you need to treat 50# gallons at a crack. An occasional treatment is all that's necessary. If stabilization is an issue with you then there are cheaper altenatives (Stabil for example). If you are not yet using ethanol blended fuel then by all means, SeaFoam is an excellent additive. It is an excellent decarb agent and is used by huge numbers of two-stroke engine owners.
