Every tank? Every 2 tanks or every 3rd tank? I'm running a 2 cycle 75hp mercury 1996.

I use some with every tank, unless I am positive it will be burned up in a few days.

Keeps everything clean and gas fresh.

This is one those questions that gets anwers on both ends of the spectrum. You will get answers like " I use it in every tank and have no issues" and "I never use it and have no issues". It can be helpful at times, but people tend to over medicate, luckily there is no harm in using it all the time other than a lighter wallet. I will add some a couple times a year, well, closer to once a year, and "I have no issues".

Gee, every year f you need it or not.......

Seriously, it is hard to tell if it does anything at all. I think I can say it does no harm.......

+1 with Bruce, its all snake oil, if you have a problem fix the problem don't try to mask it with snake oil

Only think I do use for something which may sit for close to a year is stabil, but for boat wintering over, I use nothing in the tank

I like the billows of toxic smoke and the noxious chemicals it dumps into the water. Looks to be worse than the normal hydrocarbons and oil from a carb'd motor.

I would say that of equal importance in the equation is what type of gas do you use? (I.e. ethanol vs. Non-ethanol). If you use gas with ethanol, then I think it is more important to use an additive that helps with preventing build up. I personally use non- ethanol gas, but still treat my fuel with a stabilizer being that I use the same tank for a while.

E10 gas at all area gas stations. Maybe a different story when I get up to Lake Powell, maybe some non-E gas at the marinas up there?

Surprised that so many are non-sea foam users. Hmm, on the snake oil thing. Just hmm...

I use it as a fuel stabilizer. When the gas is going to sit for a while, I'll put some Seafoam in to keep me from having to go through the headache of cleaning out the fuel system every spring.

Gee Tenzero1, What ethanol-caused "build-up" to you mean?

Ethanol is not an issue, IMHO. It may loosen up the crud in the fuel system the first time you use it, but after that it is very benign.
