The contents are Naptha, Light mineral oil, and Alcohol; quantites unknown. Google the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet.....tells all about what's in a product) The oil is in there deliberately for 2 stroke engine lubrication. How much I don't know but 50:1 premix isn't much oil either.
I used it religiously in my 2002 90 triple looper, added to my regular (unleaded) grade gas/gas+10% ethanol blend, or premix, depending on what I was running at the time. In 2012 I decided to have a look at the carbs and possibly put in kits if needed. Opened it up, had a good look-see and put it all back together with all the existing parts.....been running every since. Obviously there wasn't anything to fix and I was careful with the gaskets, and inspected the needle valve which had no groove and was still pliable, checked the float binding and ensured that no foreign objects (fuel line) was present. I did have fuel line problems but that was another time and another story. The OEM line between the tank and engine disintegrated leaving chunks of it in the fuel inlet.
I knew not of the product before joining this forum. Lot of chatter about "Decarbing" and Sea Foam and all that "rot". Figured it wouldn't hurt anything......
My boat didn't see much use. I'd go out every couple of months and run for about an hour and put it back up. I did run it however. Had 2 speeds: Off and WOT. Gas would be as old as a year. Never had a problem.
Am I sold on the stuff?????? Naw. Just a pipe dream. Grin.
