I have a Johnson Seahorse 3hp model number JW-11 serial number 194017 Manufactured in Peterborough Ontario Canada any idea's on what year it is ? ? ? the motor is in beautiful shape.......

Thanks a lot for the Info (a lot of the guys at work thought it was in the 60's)
I'm looking forward to getting out on the lakes up here in the North with it..

Lots of nice Pickerel, Muskie, Bass etc in the French (got a 14lber in there last year took a picture and let er go and make some babies) Going for Speck's this weekend before they close. Have a good one

If I'm not mistaken those little motors start up in gear correct? I heard my uncle talking about an old 3hp they used to have (you wouldn't think of this being a small motor) but he said you better be prepared to sit down when you start that motor because it will make you fall or fall out the boat :D. So be careful when you use it for the first time or anytime.

Be sure to use a 24:1 fuel mix in that little jewel, Karrick.

Proper plugs are Champion J6C gapped at .030", and set the points at .020".
