Ok, so Ive got the wobbler, I think. Im used to a paddle form of impeller. I see the ring that allows the wobble and should the "rubber wobbler" be tight on the off center ring? Am I to understand this propels water up into lower unit? Thanks for input and advise.

:facepalm:Im also having trouble getting the Water Flush bolt out as previous owner has got it in there good and groove on head is getting worn. Any suggestions here would help as well.

The rubber part is properly called a "rotor". The off center thing in the middle is called an "eccentric".

The rotor should be a close fit on the eccentric. And the outside surface of the rotor should just touch the housing at some point. On the other side, there should be a space between the rotor and housing. The height should be just right to fit when you install the cover plate---not binding, but not loose fit either.

OK, with all that in mind, watch the space between the rotor and housing as you slowly turn the shaft. The space should appear in the area of the water intake hole, and progress around to the outlet area, where it disappears. Then it appears at the intake again and repeats. At the intak area, that space fills with water. As it progresses around to the other side, it takes that gulp of water with it. As it reaches the outlet port, the space dissappears, squeezing the gulp of water up the water tube to the powerhead.

The tab on the top of the rotor is there to keep it from spinning. It also isolates the intake side from the outlet side. The tab does not pump water, the moving space does.

Simple huh?
