Seaking-what year?

I just got a 15hp seaking. model vwr52119, serial # 97X20892.

1) what year is this? (from other posts, I gather it to be from 1981-83)

2) What carb kit should I order? (Iboats has 4 different 15hp kits- not sure the distinction and I don't have the manual yet- will order once I know the year)

3) Will Champion RL-86 plugs work? (not the factory specified, but I think I found that they are compatible)

You stated vwr but I think you meant VWB and it comes up as:

VWB52119 1979 15 2 Made by Chrysler

The A thru E models were from 1980 thru 1984.

Does your have a letter at the end of the s/n?

I thought that might be a "B" but it was stamped right on the line and hard to tell.

There isn't a letter on the end of the model number, so it looks like I have a 1979.

I would like to order a carb kit at the same time as the manual, but I am unsure which kit is right for a 1979 15hp Seaking.

Can you tell from your carb if it has OM or WB model identifiers on it?

I can't see much anything that indicates OM or WB. On the top of the carb mounting plate (where it mounts to the block) it says: CO-10B and 4720611. Got excited there for a second then realized that I can't make much of it.....

where would it say OM or WB?

Rather than waste time trying to identify the carb, give these guys a call and they should have what you need or know better where to get it.
