I have an out drive that has absolutely no more steering. I'm wondering what my options are. I have an MC-1 outdrive. I'm wondering if I could just buy a new bell housing, gimbal, and gimbal housing assembly, or if I"m going to be better off just replacing the parts to my existing setup? Can I put a newer assembly in and toss my original out drive back on?

I am guessing the square tiller is worn and lose. There is a kit to replace the arm, requires drilling and tapping large holes, but comes with plugs. You need the holes to access the bolt on top of the gimbal ring.

I am not 100% certain, but I think that it's splined on the top of my gimbal. I plan on pulling it all out. Perhaps I should wait and post some photos once it's out.
