Re: Sears 28 HP motor

Welcome ,You have a 67 McCulloch built motor. Champion J4C plug set at .035,points set at .020.48:1 fuel mix with TCW3 rated oil.
If it has been sitting a long time go through the fuel system with attention to cleaning. We seldome see anything on the 28 usually bigger or smaller motors.
The Scott Guy at ask the scott guy may be able to answer Qs and suggest
parts sources.McCulloch was slightly ahead of the curve developing more hp from smaller displacement motors.

Re: Sears 28 HP motor

Thank you for the info, Steelespike. My friend will be happy for the info. He already went through the feul system and said it is running preety good. It took him awhile to get it going, alot of tinkering with controls. Once again thank you so much. Have a great day.:D
