I just removed the lower unit on a sears 7.5 MN 217 586753 to renew the impeller.I'm now trying to reinstall the lower unit and having problems. That keyway for the impeller is a very ill designed system and trying to line that up while also aligning the driveshaft and water tube has me about ready to take a hammer to it and be done with it.Any tricks of the trade or suggestions? I installed the plastic key to the shaft (prefitted) with a drop of super glue but it hasn't helped much. Any help would be appreciated.
