I have a 1970 simpson sears ltd 7.5 and need a repair guide and parts but cannot find anyone to sell me the parts and was wondering if anyone knows where to obtain those type parts for such an older engine?

My info indicates that is built by McCulloch
but it is difficult to tell without a model number.
It usually appears on the mounting bracket.
At least 3 different manufacturers built motors for Sears in the 70s.

Here is THE place to get Sear motor parts. I bought from them last year and received A1 customer service and the parts were half of Sears prices. They will need the numbers off the motor to id the parts. I think these were the folks who bought out the Sears line. I can't say much for the sear motor but it was free.

The parts and owners manual for that motor was only $5 (as of 10/02). It also has exploded views with part numbers and descriptions.

Certified Parts Corporation
1111 W. Racine St
Po Box 8468
Janesville, WI 53545
608-752-9441
