Seat Foam

Needing to replace the seat foam. I can get High Density foam from Joann's Fabrics and use a 50% off coupon. It is firm but not as firm as some foam I have felt. What size for the bottom 3" and 2" for the back. Is this correct?

Just pull out what is already in there and measure it. I have seen guys get a free sofa or couch off craigslist and salvage the foam from it for the same purpose. You can use a filet knife to slice it down to whatever dimension you need. Just an idea...

"Donor Couch" foam is usually not High Density foam so if that's important then you should get the High Density stuff. I used the Donor couch stuff and it was fine for me in a 4" thickness but others may like a firmer cushion.
