I'm looking for information on who might distribute a seat shell for a flip up bolster seat. I'm looking to have it upholstered to match what I put in the boat last year. Currently I have back to back lounge style seats and I'd really like to take those out and put in bucket seats. After going to the boat show and sitting in some flip up bolster seats, that's what I want. I contacted Attwood, who sent me to one of their retailers, and buying the plastic shell and foam was more expensive than buying the whole seat. They recommended that I buy the seat and have it recovered, which seems to be a) a waste of time and materials and b) will cost me even more money in the long run when you factor in the added cost of getting the matching upholstery. Any help anyone might have would be Greatly appreciated.

Re: Seat Help

I have an idea..... try contacting Great Lakes Skipper http://www.greatlakesskipper.com/ They sell overstock boat parts right from the OEMs. They may have or know where you can get what you're looking for. Or they may be able to give you a deal on a seat with damaged upholstery since you're going to recover it anyway. Good luck and welcome to iboats.
