Hello, I am getting ready to purchase seats for my Harvey which has a cored hull I believe, the deck and hull are sandwiched together and there is not space in between. Anyways I am wondering what seats boats in this era would use. I know the back needs a bench seat, but it looks like in the one picture I can find new of my boat is had two jump seat style seats in the front. The problem I am finding which jump seats is that the jump seats apparently need to be fastened backing something. Also my question is how would I fasten seats to this hull as I would be bolting them all the way thru the hull. Right now the PO just sandwiched a 2x4 over the deck and bolted pedestals onto that but it is kind of cheesy and definitely not original or what I am looking for.

Re: Seating in on old style hull

you could put some 1X4 or 2X4, glued to the current deck with PL, then glassed over and tabbed to the deck to fasten your seats to. post some pictures up or a drawing of how you plan to arrange the seats
