See Service Bulletin 1276

[BigB9000]

I was going to order an Evinrude starter rope for my 6HP, and next to the part number (314500) it say
"see service bulletin 1276"

And the part number comes back as a starter spring?!

Anyone have any idea what that is?

Well, 314500 indeed is the recoil spring. The rope is 772579, sold by the foot. It is 1/8" hard braid nylon rope. iboats number is 18-4914. I believe that is for a whole roll. Call to see if it is available by the foot.

I don't know what the service bulletin is. It MIGHT be the one telling dealers that they have to buy a roll and cut it.
