Seeking maintenance/repair history on a 1995 5.0 Mercrusier

Hi All,

How about the 1995 Vintage of 5.0 Mercruisers? I am guessing they were 220hp, however did they work out? Looks like they still sell them, or did in the last few years. Is there anything I should pay special attention to?

I have asked many people about bellows....what do you expect from them in terms of years?

If you're going to maintain this boat yourself, I'd suggest you read through the "Adults Only" sticky in this forum, then get the manual for your drive/engine and read through it.

Bellows get replaced when they look like they need it, or sooner.

As far as any "special attention" items, probably not. Maintain it by the book, keep it covered, enjoy.

About a gizzillion of them in service, running strong. Still made and have been for a long time. Just service as required in the manual. Nothing special about them as far as i know- just a marinized small block chevy engine.
