Seen stuff in bottle to get rid of water in gas?

I was at cabelas, and figured maybe this would be a temp fix untill i get my water seperator installed. Could i just put a bottle of this stuff in I found in the marine section at cabelas? It was called dry clear, or dry clean or something. Said it gets rid of water in the gas. Could i just mix a bottle of this in my 27 gallon tank and be ok? The tank is empty now, and was thinking of filling it up, and adding a bottle of this stuff. Good idea? All gas around here has e10 in it.

Here in the northeast it is common to add a can of "drygas" to your gas tank in freezing weather to allow whatever condensation that will accumulate in a partially filled tank with the temperature shifts we have here from day to day and overnight for that matter.Almost all filling stations carry it,it is cheap and you probably could buy it at your drugstore if it is not available elsewhere.It is nothing more than isopropyl alchohol and mixes with moisture to prevent freezing the gas lines and allows it to be burned.
I am pretty sure Ethanol will do the same thing so you probably don't need to buy anything if you are using the blend being sold these days.

OK in 4-strokes, not OK in 2-strokes. Most 2-strokes have oil in the gas, whether it's mixed manually in the tank, or mechanically at the motor. Oil mixes with gas. Oil doesn't mix with alcohol. 2-strokes deprived of that oil die a horrible death.

Way off here...ETN will suck up water all right, seperate into a blob that will plug everything in site.

Go to any good boat store (Boaters world), and get a bottle of MDR WaterZorb...

So It would be ok to use that untill i get my water seperator installed? Would this be recomended? I have a 27 gallon tank, and was going to put 20 gallons in friday, and then add a bottle of this stuff. Waterzorb..... I will have to look for that. My g/f works at a marina in parts, so i get everything at a 30% discount. Hopefully i get my kit untill then so i wont have to worry about it.

Could you explain this to us?Alchohol will mix with water to allow it to be burned in the engine.We have been doing this for generations.Ethanol is alchohol,what am I missing here?Water is heavier than gasoline so it will settle to the bottom of your tank but once it rises above the fuel pickup in the tank it becomes a problem,especially in freezing weather.How does this affect a two cycle engine with oil in the gas?Help me to learn about this.Thanks.Ron G

What happens is ETH (which takes in water from the atmosphere like a sponge) will absorb water until it can't absorb anymore, separate from the alcohol, fall to the bottom of the tank, find more water, and it turns into a mess that will clog anything in site. Way to much has been posted on this..search Ethanol at google..

I'm not defending anything. Just spitting out the truth. Look at those bottles of HEET they sell. Ever wonder why the have a yellow AND red bottle. Read the yellow bottle..NOT FOR 2 CYCLE ENGINES. Thats the red bottle
And then the ratio... what 8 oz to 10 gallons? Jack it up to a gallon for ten (or 10 gallons in a 100 gallon tank with a vent to the atmosphere)...that stuff (ethonol) is sucking moisture right out of the air, it gets saturated (boats sit a heck of a lot more than cars), seperates, and turns to goo..
Sorry, maybe ETH ok for cars with sealed tanks, and lots of use, alcohol resistant fuel systems, but for the millions of boats here in Puget Sound, its a disaster...maybe why we also don't have it (so far)
