When you get to the last post in a forum section, there is no way to get to the next page unless you scroll back up to the top.
Can a next page box be added to the bottom?

I have been wondering the same thing. But I hate to ask questions knowing this is a free sight and takes a lot of time to do the code... But a good idea all the same.

Isnt there a blue Back to Top button in the bottom left of the screen?

Hit that and it'll auto scroll you back to the top

Otherwise, yep, the next page button is on our list of wants. But apparently vB5 isnt a the customer is always right sorta software........

Ah! Just thought if it was an easy addition it would be convenient to have it down there. If it's difficult, no biggie...just a very, very minor inconvenience.

Does the bar above the first post not scroll down with you? I'm currently on a cell phone and it doesn't, but I believe it does on desktop.

Sorry, I'm a little late to the party: Dunno' about tablets or phones, but in Safari, Chrome and Firefox on a computer, the bar that has the page numbers and arrows on the right (search, post reply, etc.) should stay at the top of your window while you scroll down through the topic.

This is what my screen looked like while typing this (highlighted the bar we're talking about): Page Numbers.jpg

southkog, I don't think he was referring to the in-thread page system. I think he was referring to the general pages as you scroll down the different threads. When you reach the bottom of the first page, there is a box (Back to Top) to take you back to the top so you can click on the next page. What I think he was asking is, why not have the next page option at the bottom of the page as well so you can merely click on it and go to the next page instead of having to go back to the top to access that option. And I have wonder that same thing myself... It is just a convenient way to set the page selection option up. :noidea:

Joe - A clarification question back to you. Do you mean all through the forum or only when viewing Today's Posts or New Topic list?

I'm asking because when using a desktop or tablet, the scroll bar does remain resident on top of the page when viewing a thread or a forum list and page selection boxes are on the bottom of the current page , like Resto or Merc/Mariner, but not when viewing Today's Posts or New Topic lists.

In these two lists the scroll bar just floats up and out of sight and no page boxes on the bottom. It would be nice and easier navigation for the scroll bar to act the same way when it's displayed with a resident scroll bar on the page top and page selection boxes at the bottom. Navigation would be consistent throughout the forum.

On my Droid, the bar doesnt stay at the top, it scrolls up and off screen, in portrait mode, but in landscape mode it does stay put. However, the forum software 'stuff' (headers and etc) crowds the screen in landscape mode, so that if the keyboard pops up, to type this reply, I only have 1 line of text visible on screen. Makes navigation and posting problematic.....
