Re: Selling a 17' Bayliner... or trying to

I spelled emergency with an a. A true master of the english language :)
No I don't blame him, it's all my fault!
I'm collecting parts for his next project 'Chopper'. I'll post up some pics. after I get started.
You should hear the little fella' these days (he was 2 in Feb.)... I have a bunch of Disney movies but all he wants to watch are the street rod, pro street and NHRA videos that we have (occasionally the 'chuppa show' (American Chopper) is ok too).
I wake him up at 6:30 to get ready and the first words out of his mouth every day are 'car' and 'bubba'... if we stop at a light and there's a nice car or truck next to us he'll roll down his window and ask, "You got a Hemi in that?"

I've created a monster!

Oh yeah, the Bayliner. I polished the top decks last night, they came up nice. I also repainted the bow where the no-skid is. Tonight I'll do some interior detailing and polish the hull (if I have time). I ran in to the fella' who called me to tell me he bought another boat. He was at a local shop with his new one. It's a 16' Double Eagle (really clean but late 60's vintage) with a 60hp/6hp Merc package (70's vintage). It's sitting on a rusty old trailer. He paid $1000 more than I want for mine. I think he made a mistake but my opinion is biased so I didn't say anything.
I sold my 90 Bayliner Capri through iboats.com last fall. Got 4-5 calls on it, not 1 call from boattrader...but I was still glad I advertised it there as I do think they have a large customer base.

Yeah, I'll try something like that after my ad runs out in the island buy&sell paper. I think it's going to sell before that happens though. Another method is to leave it at my buddies place, he's on a busy road not far from here. Pretty well everything that sits in his front yard with a sign on it has sold.
:)
Thanks
