I am considering selling my boat and would like some opinions on a fair asking price.

It is an '86 Cruisers 22' Cuddy Cabin. It has a 350 mercruiser with dual thru-hull exhaust and alpha one outdrive.

I bought it 3 yrs ago and have put some money into the engine and drive and interior. Now I am moving to a new area and think it may be best to sell.

Shortly after I purchased it in '07 I had to pull the engine and replace the coupler. During that process a new water pump kit, impeller, lower and upper seals, u-joint and yolk were also replaced. The spark plugs have also been changed. It has two new batteries and since having this work done, the boat has been on the water probably a dozen to 15 times and it runs great.

I have also replaced part of the flooring which was rotted, new carpet and new seats.

It has an EZ Loader dual axle roller trailer which is in good condition with all new tires. I purchased the boat in Michigan and pulled it to New Mexico and had no problems with the trailer.

In the cabin the cushion upholstery is torn in places but overall is in good condition. The exterior gel coat has oxidized some on the sides but looks OK and with a little polishing would look pretty good. It has a teak swin deck in good condition and some teak woodwork within the boat including the cabin door, also in good shape.

I live in the Four Corners of New Mexico and am planning on listing this locally. Any advice on a fair asking price would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: selling asking price

Do you best to take care of the cosmetics. It will really help. I'd start it and $5k unless you're in a hurry to sell it. However, Bubba really knows what he's talking about in this area.....
