Hi all,
I have a Selva dorado 60 efi (same motor as yamaha f60). The problem I have is that's I have no spark in cylinder 2+3, while 1+4 works well. I tested ignition coils ohm which looks OK. Also swapped them, but the same result.

I don't have a dva adapter yet tp continue my troubleshooting backwards. But given the results I have that the signal to one of the ignition coils are bad, can I draw any conclusions? A broken pulse coil should give problem on both? Same for stator that it should affect both? Or am I wrong?

This would leave me with the cdi unit only as the root cause or do I need to do the dva measurent?

Anyone that has experience with these motors and could provide some guidance is appreciated.

BR,
Andreas

I Not much help, but having a DVA and a manual would be the best way to troubleshoot.
the manual will tell you what the specs are for all of the inputs and outputs of CDI

Yamaha T60 EFI models use a engine control unit (ECU) assembly. No CDI assy.

Stator is not in the loop with respect to ignition. The pulser coil tells the ECU when to terminate the ground to the ignition coil to cause it to discharge electrical power into the spark plug.

Is the ECU receiving the message from the pulser coil? Is the ignition coil receiving the message from the ECU?

Is the ignition coil getting battery voltage?

You are completely right, just studied the wiring diagram. Smells like a bad ecu to me since I have spark from one of the ignition coils, but will do a proper avalysis once the dva adapter arrives.

Thanks!

I do not think you need a DVA to check for voltages and grounds like Boscoe99 said
