Senior moment?

Well, no. I wasn't actually boating or fishing, but I was thinking about fishing. Doesn't that count?<br /><br />Time to eat something. So I got out a bowl of venison stew and popped it in the MW. While waiting for the buzzer I started thinking about my fishpond and the need to catch some catfish and transfer them to my "yard" pond so the contractor can clean out the silt and renew the fishpond. Realizing that I was hungry, I turned on the G. Foreman grill and got out a steak and some frozen veggies.<br /><br />When I went to put the veggies into the MW there was already something in there.. . .a bowl of venison stew.<br /><br />Oooops!

It's the reason I have to set the stove timer when brewing tea, so I don't forget.

Yeah, sometimes I head upstairs for something and while I'm heading there forget what I was after. I usually end up in our bedroom closet (which is as far as you can go) before I realize I have no idea why I am there . . .

I am always going to the "Hereafter".<br /><br />I go to the shed/kitchen/bedroom & on arrival ask myself "What am I hereafter?"<br /><br />Ten minutes later I'll wonder why I didn't collect the same item when I was there last time!!!

Don't worry JB, I got retired last wednesday and was 3/4 through my " get to work routine" at 6 in the morning last friday before I realised it. The dog didn't mind the early morning stroll though :D

Inevitably, as one grows older, you acquire what is commonly called the CRS syndrome. CRS simply means "Can't Remember ****". Not sure if I should post the entire definition without offending someone so you'll just have to figure it out. Seems it happens to the best of us sooner or later.

Re: Senior moment?

I wouldn't worry about the stew thing; I do that once a week. Three kids, lots of distractions. But here's a good one. One of our friends got home from the grocery store a few weeks ago. She decided to leave the car running while she unloaded. ??? Anyway, she had to come back out for the last bag, so she didn't turn off the car. That was around one o’clock in the afternoon. Here phone rang around five o’clock when one of her neighbors got home from work. The neighbor was calling to tell here that her car was running in her driveway with the door open. Guess she had a full tank of gas.

Re: Senior moment?

A few years ago, pulled into the driveway while talking to my business partner on the cell phone. As I was collecting my keys, cigs, notebook, and such from the car, he heard me say "Sh$t".....he asked what was wrong, my reply " I can't find my cellphone" after a few minutes of hysterical laughter from him......I realized why I couldn't find my cellphone.......it was at my ear while I talked to him!

NOW I feel better. <br /><br />At least I now know why my infamous "timing and Synch" post never quite makes it to the FAQ. :D <br /><br />-W
