i do not have a timeing light yet , iam trying to figure out on witch side from a 12o,clock position on my coil ,i know were the no1 piston is located on the coil , the timerbase tells me that, as inside underneath the sensors they are marked , now iam trying to position the sensor from a 12 o ,clock position in relation to the coil, once i know witch way the pulse goes clock wise or anti clock wise , then i can work it out just, need to know the pulse direction , because that will tell me whether iam advanced or retard, thanks

You might get more results if you post what you are working on, post the model number.

no worry i have worked it out ,by placein the sensor in a 12o clock position in relation to the coil , moving it clockwise, takes the motor to atdc, & anti clockwise to btdc, my 60hp 1970 conversion to 1977 70hp timerbase& sensor , was sucessfull , the motor starts even better , fistime
