Separate Throttle and Shifter

I've about had it with the quicksilver all in one throttle/shifter controls. I'm previously from the world of inboards, where you have a separate levers for the throttle and transmission, and I'd LOVE to be able to set the throttle and use a stand alone set of controls to shift like I've see it on older I/O boats, Bayliners in particular (see picture below).

So the questions are:
Can I convert my existing setup?
What do I need?
Can I pick up a set of surplus Bayliner controls and use them?
