Went down the street to put gas in the boat, When I got home my wheel was on an angle, jacked it up and the wheel fell off. Turns out my passenger side brake was stuck on. I only have to go 1 mile to gas and 1/2 mile to the boat ramp so i don't really need the brakes. Can I disassemble the brake pads and still use the drums?

Re: serge brakes

sounds like the wheel bearings. bearings hold the drum on the hub and centered on the brake shoe assembly. bearings would cause your brakes to bind and bearing would allow your wheel to fall off.

not recomended, depending on your local laws and or your trailer gvwr you might be required. and if you do the surge cylinder would get damaged to to no resistance at the brakes.
