serial number for starcraft v bottom

I will getting a 14ft v bottom starcraft boat this friday i would sure like to know the year and where to find the serial number i have asked previous owner and he has no clue ive been to star craft website and theres no help there either can any one help guide me the right direction here are a few vague pics.

Looks like an early 60's Sea Scamp.

The serial number use to be on the inside of the wooden transom ans glued onto a plate. That transom replacement is a VERY easy job.

A "now skiin" makes absolutlely no sense to me either as per your question on the Starcraft forum!!???
Ditto on what Bob_VT said about "great boats". One 4x8 sheet of outdoor plywood (I used "Aruco" from Lowes) will give you a new transom and bench seats for your Starcraft. I glued 2 pieces of 3/4" together with Titebond III glue for the transom. A fun project...good luck. my 2 cents...
