Serial Tag Location

I have a Yamaha two-Stroke 9.9 outboard and can't find the serial number location, I'm trying to figure what year it is. It looks like a late 90's model but I'm not sure.

Tyipically the serial number tag is alway noticable, any ideal where it might be located?
