serpentine belt replacement

Does anyone know the part number or specs for replacing the serpentine drive belts on a 4.3L MPI Mercruiser? I don't see it in the service manual.

Service manuals don't have part numbers.

Need a lot more information than this... Year, serial number, standard or closed cooling, belt driven or leg based seawater pump, Alpha or Bravo drive?

2002 Mercruiser 4.3 L MPI. Standard cooling, belt driven seawater pump, alpha 1, gen II drive. Not sure about serial number.

Ayuh,.... Alphas use a drive mounted pump,... Whatcha really got,..??

Sorry. The raw water pump is in the lower unit of the Alpha 1 drive. I think there is also another seawater circulating pump in the front of the engine as well.

Thanks. I actually have the service manual, I was looking for the replacement part number. I figured it out. I removed the belt and sure enough the number was stamped on the back of the belt. One problem solved.

Careful!... There are 4 belts used on the Alpha version of that engine.

Welcome to iboats racer, you need to start a new thread of your own, post your engine serial number and what you need and i'm sure your question will be answered.

You need to start a new thread of your own bionic, and post what your engine is and it's serial number.
