I understand. I grew up in Michigan, spent three years in Alaska, and three winters in Korea. We only get this once or twice a year here in Texas, though.

Texans loose their minds with the white stuff though.

Thanks, My brother's last day in Kileen is 25 Feb.
A going away present for him! along with some harrassement from his brother! He was gloating too.

They closed Fort Hood today. It was pretty much an overreaction.
The roads were wet but nowhere near hazardous. That may change when the wet roads freeze overnight.

When he got to Ft Hood they told my brother he could leave when it snowed.
They were right, he just wished it had snowed two years ago!

The closing delayed his exit medical exam, 1st Sgts aren't pretty when they're pissed!

We get snow and/or ice once or twice a year. The Easter Day snow storm a couple of years ago was great fun.

...and 1SG's and SGM's are just big teddy bears when you get to know them.

The globes are much warmer here today. Nothing beats warm globes.

Here in the north west (British Columbia) this has been the warmest winter in many many years. El nino (sp?) brings warm water up to the north Pacific pushing the cold weather to the east and eventually pushing the cold weather to the south west, kinda of in a big swirley action.
My thoughts anyways.
