I found that Mercury doesn't list manuals for every yearmodel of an engine.....necessarily.
My 3 and 4 cylinder Mercs of 90 and 115 hp were/are 2002 yearmodels but use the same manual which lists 3 and 4 cylinder engines starting back in 1995 with listings up through 1998. When it gets to the 1998 models, it states: 1998 and beyond. My current manual was "edited" in 2015 (pages annotated as such) and upgrades are made to the manual to bring it up to date rather than going to the expense of publishing new manuals every year....an expensive task.
I noticed that the added pages primarily have to do with supplementary verbiage with improved instructions on how to do, what to expect and such. I couldn't help but notice that, having the older version of that manual and the 2015 edited edition of that manual, a lot of what we talk about on here is now in the edited edition, correcting some misconceptions previously, again, primarily in supplemental information, like in engine mounting heights and why, what to expect, what happens if you are too far this way or too far that way, how props work, what to expect from your trim function and such.
I got my latest on ebay for the carb version and the fuel injection versions....2 different manuals for 2 different types of engines, both used but in like new condition, priced right. The way that happened was that I was shopping ebay for the carbed version of the engine and accidentally bought the fuel injected manual.
Upon receiving it and realizing my error, I went back and bought the correct manual for carbed engines. It's out in the shop and I don't know what yearmodels it covers. I will check it out for you and if it applies to your yearmodel, I'll discuss it with you via private memo. Give me a day or so.
I used the Seloc, downloaded from iboats along with my previous Merc OEM manual when I had the 90 hp engine and DID find the Seloc to have information that I could use to solve the existing problem when the Mercury OEM manual was lacking!!!! So Seloc sucks is just BS!
