Trying to figue out if I have the right mercruiser manual #6.., the engine is a 1985 140 mercruiser and im a bit confused with the models covered in the manuals,, My serial # is A526226 and the manual covers models 6849290-OA471734 it also covers models OA471375 and above... do I need a special decoder ring to figure this out,, or do I have the correct manual...whats with the whole OA lettering before the serial number...??

Manual 6 is correct its actually a zero not an O

Just realized that service manual 6 only covers the drives,, I will also need a manual for the engine.. would that be #10 ? The engine is an 1985..

I dont have a printer so downloading them is really not gonna work. I dont mind the 15 bucks or so on ebay...

Only thing that makes me nervous is the # 10 says for 140 engines 6852270 and above.. and my serial number is lower than that a526226

Service Manual # 3 comes in two sets looks like it would be the right one.

the serial number you posted says its a MCM 120 Alpha 1 motor
